I am pleased to announce the publication of my latest project on Communication Arts in their exhibit section. In this article, I share the details of my new serif typeface family, a creation that blends elegance with bold, extravagant forms.
In the article, I delve into the inspiration behind this new serif typeface. Drawing from typographic specimens of the 18th and 19th centuries, I aimed to merge classic elegance with a modern approach. The wide serifs and voluptuous curves found in this typeface are directly inspired by these historical models, yet reimagined to meet contemporary needs.
The article also addresses the challenges I faced during the design process, particularly in balancing luxury with readability. Every detail has been meticulously considered to ensure the typeface is not only aesthetically refined but also functional in various contexts. You will discover how these elements come together to create a typeface that is both elegant and practical. Additionally, the full article will also be featured in the upcoming print issue of the magazine for November/December.
A big thank you to Communication Arts for this opportunity to share my work. I hope you enjoy exploring this new typeface as much as I enjoyed creating it!
